In this day and age, when we have progressed so much B-Grade is
still seen as a degraded thing. This is a part of our society. Everybody knows
about it and has watched it at one point or another but speaking about it is
considered a taboo. Even thought porn stars are also actors, they never receive
the same respect or accolades as the mainstream stars of the industry.
What no one considers is that fame is a very tricky game. Some of the bigger names of the Bollywood industry have had to do some less honorable things before they got their first break. We have listed the top stars of Bollywood who have acted in B-Grade Movies.
1. Sunny Leone
At the very last we have Sunny Leone. Almost everybody knows about her past as a porn star. She worked with her husband to produce porn movies. She started her career in Bollywood with the movie Jism 2. She is now getting roles in new movies on a regular basis. Unlike all the other actors of Bollywood, Sunny is not ashamed of who she was.
On the whole nobody gets an easy entry in Bollywood. It’s all a game of luck and hard work. Some have to struggle a lot harder than others to get their first break and in the process. Who would have thought, these big names that we idolize have had to go through some really rough times to reach where they are today.
2. Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif is one of the top actresses today but the start
of her career was not on a very respectable note. Her debut movie of Bollywood is nothing short
of a soft porn flick. In this movie Katrina did all kind of vulgar scenes that
were required of her. There were some very sensual clips of her showing her
body and kissing Gulshan Grover. Katrina becomes embarrassed of how she started
in the Bollywood, when asked about it today.
3. Mithun Chakraborty - Classic
Dance Of Love (2005)
Mithun Chakraborty was a
dance legend in the 70’s and 80’s. When he tried to make a comeback after 2000,
he was offered the movie Classic
Dance Of Love. In this movie Mithun played the role of Dr. Ram Gopal
Acharya who appears as a pious man to the outside world but actually has
lustful intention toward Doli- the female lead. He has several disgraceful
clips in the movie in which he tries to get intimate with Doli. The movie was
an utter flop and Mithun gave up his attempt to comeback in the film industry.
4. Akshay Kumar - Mr. Bond
(1992)
Just like his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna, Akshay Kumar also worked in a B-grade flick. The
only difference is that Akshay signed this movie in his struggling days. In the
movie he portrays the role of a police officer fighting crime. Although the
plot seems ordinary, in the movie there is actually a line-up of voluptuous
women, throwing themselves at Akshay. Akshay Kumar is not very proud of the
work he did at the initialization of his career.
5. Manisha Koirala - Ek Chhoti
Si Love Story (2002)
This was a very controversial movie of Manisha’s career. In
this movie Manisha played the role of a very bold girl, a 15 year old boy falls
in love with her and later in the movie she seduces him. There is a lot of
sexual content in this movie. Manisha later claimed that she was cheated and a
body double was used to shoot the sensual scene. She also tried to get a
restraining order on the movie but the damage was done.
6. Mamta Kulkarni - Divine
Temple Khajuraho (2002)
Mamta Kulkarni was a very
famous actress of the 90’s. While signing her last movie of the Bollywood
industry she used a no holds barred approach. Her role in the Divine Temple
Khajuraho portrayed her in a very sensual light.

8. Rajesh Khanna - Wafa: A
Deadly Love Story (2008)
The late legendary actor Rajesh Khanna returned to the industry with the
movie Wafa: A Deadly Love Story. This
movie had a weak story and some very bold content. It was not received well in
the cinemas and was labeled, as a “poorly choreographed porn flick”. The movie
was a complete failure and it was removed from the cinemas after just a few days.
9. Amitabh Bachchan - Boom
(2003)
Amitabh Bachchan has been a very famous actor since the
nineties but he has a black spot on his career, called ‘Boom’. In the year
2000, Amitabh Bacchants Corporation Ltd. (ABCL) fell
under a lot of financial pressure and faced bankruptcy. Under these intense
circumstances, Amitabh was desperate for getting a role. Due to the lack of any
suitable offer, he went with the movie Boom. He played the role of an
underworld don which showcased him doing some very inappropriate scenes with
his co-stars. People went as far as to call Boom a soft porn. The film was a disaster and it was criticized
all over India. Later on Amitabh Bachchan apologized from his fans for doing
the movie.
10. Shakti Kapoor - Meri Life
Main Uski Wife (2009)
Shakti Kapoor has played a large variety of roles in his
film career, ranging from villainous to comedic. What is not listed everywhere
is that he also did a couple of shady movies. Meri Life Main Uski Wife is
one of those. In this flick Shakti Kapoor portrays the character of a gallant
young man, who tries to seduce his friend’s wife. It showcases very intimate
scenes in two major songs. The movie was not much of a success in the theaters.
